E-commerce website development for Indian brands.
I'm Sumit Kumar, a freelance e-commerce website developer in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. I build custom online stores for Indian brands: product catalogue, cart, Razorpay payments with UPI and cards, Shiprocket shipping with tracking, and an admin panel for products and orders. Custom stores start at ₹30,000, and you own the store and its code.

01 — What I build
What I can build for you
A store has to do more than look good. It has to take a payment and confirm it properly, send the order to a courier, tell the customer where their parcel is, and give your team one place to manage all of it. That is the part I focus on.
If you are still testing products, a platform like Shopify can be the cheaper start, and I'll tell you so. Once orders are steady and monthly plan and app fees add up, your own store usually pays for itself.
Custom online stores
Catalogue with variants, cart and a fast mobile checkout, designed around your brand.
Payments that are confirmed
Razorpay with UPI, cards and netbanking. Orders are confirmed only after the payment is verified on the server.
Shipping and tracking
Shiprocket courier booking, labels and tracking updates, so nobody types addresses into a courier panel.
Admin panel for your team
Products, stock, orders and order status in one place, built around how you work.

05 — Process
How a project runs
Step 1: Plan the store
Products, variants, payments, COD rules, shipping and what your team needs to manage.
Step 2: Design and build
You review the store on a live preview link as each part is finished.
Step 3: Test real orders
Test payments, failed payments, cancellations and shipping, before customers do.
Step 4: Launch and hand over
Live on your domain, with payment and courier accounts in your name.
06 — Why me
Why clients work with me
You talk to the developer
No account managers in between. The person you explain your business to is the person writing the code.
Live work you can open
Stores, portals and business software running for real businesses today. Click through them before you decide.
Built to be found
Pages are fast and structured for Google from day one, because a website nobody finds doesn't bring enquiries.
Everything is yours
Domain, hosting and code are in your name. You are never locked in, and any developer can take over later.
We came to Sumit with a fairly complex e-commerce setup in mind — payments, shipping, the works. He got it all working smoothly and was quick to fix anything we flagged after launch.

07 — Fit
Is this right for your project?
A good fit if you are
- Brands with steady orders that have outgrown Instagram DMs or a store builder
- Stores that need something a theme can't do, like video browsing or custom pricing
- Businesses that want their own store and code, without monthly platform fees
Probably not a fit
- Testing a product idea for the first time (start on a store builder)
- Marketplaces with many sellers and a large team from day one
09 — FAQ
Questions clients ask
How much does an e-commerce website cost?
Custom online store: from ₹30,000. Admin panel for an existing store: from ₹7,999. Payments or shipping for an existing site: quoted after a call. Cost depends on the number of products and variants, custom design, cash on delivery rules, customer accounts, coupons, GST invoices and any integrations with billing or inventory software.
How long does it take to build an e-commerce website?
A custom store usually takes a few weeks, depending on the number of products, the design and the integrations. You see it on a live preview link throughout, and the timeline is agreed in writing before work starts.
Can customers pay by UPI and cash on delivery?
Yes. Razorpay covers UPI, cards and netbanking. Cash on delivery can be offered for all orders or only for the pincodes and order values you choose.
Do you integrate shipping?
Yes, with Shiprocket: a pincode check at checkout, courier booking, labels and tracking updates for your customers.
Should I use Shopify instead?
If you are testing products or want to run everything yourself, Shopify is a good start. A custom store makes sense once orders are steady, you need features apps don't handle well, or the monthly fees add up.
Can the store generate GST invoices?
Yes, with your GSTIN and the correct tax on each item, if you are registered.
Who owns the store?
You do: the domain, hosting, code, and the payment and courier accounts are all in your name.
